Judging from this image, one might assume the galaxy M94 is rather flat and lacks structural detail. In fact, it possesses a very complex structure; unfortunately, the photographic paper used to develop this image is not sensitive enough to distinguish the differences in M94ΓÇÖs brightness. With false color technology, however, the galaxyΓÇÖs intricate detail becomes apparent.
